forever charmed

charmed aired their last episode a little over six years ago but i still could not forget such a good show. i wouldn't dare anyway.

we all know charmed was all about the halliwell sisters, prue, piper, phoebe (first three seasons) and paige (fourth to eighth season) and their powers to move things using the mind, see the future, freeze time and orb people or things from one place to another, respectively. won't go much with the details because wikipedia has it covered.

i could still remember back in my high school days, which was around ten or so years ago, every monday night 9:00-10:00pm i had our then 14' crt television to my self. fought hard for that one hour privilege just for me to follow through their story. their journey in fighting demons, warlocks and other bad elements, discovering their powers and what they could do to protect the innocent and mankind and of course their daily struggles of being full time witches.

piper. my favorite among the halliwell sisters. she was always the peacemaker between prue and phoebe. when prue died, she then became the eldest sister to phoebe and paige. as what phoebe mentioned in season 1 episode 2, i've got you under my skin "you're the sweetest person i've ever met." she was indeed.

i have always loved her power to freeze or blow things up. ain't that cool when you can just freeze something or someone when they're so annoying or better blow them up into pieces? when i was younger i even mimic how she did it with her hand when freezing/blowing up something/someone(demon/warlock). can't blame a kid for trying.

charmed for me was a "believable" series. given the powers they had, the spells they casted and demons and warlocks they fought and vanguished, they still kept the human in them. it portrayed women with extraordinary strength and power but with selfless nature. and that's why i will never forget this show. sure there are a lot of good shows now but i know there's nothing like charmed.
